About Neupogen:

NEUPOGEN is an Oncology Colony Stimulating Factor drug manufactured by Amgen and administered via the Injection route of administration. The J Code: J1442 is aligned to the drug NEUPOGEN.

The medication Neupogen is what is known as a bone marrow stimulant. It may be given to patients with a variety of different medical conditions. Neupogen is thought to help the body regenerate white blood cells, which may be necessary after patients receive chemotherapy or have been exposed to high levels of radiation. It may help decrease the chance of infection and decrease the length of fevers in patients who are receiving chemotherapy for certain types of cancers. It may also help patients who are undergoing bone marrow transplants, or patients who have who have a condition called severe chronic neutropenia.
