How we source our data
When we founded BuyandBill.com over 10 years ago, we saw that the data needed to bill and reimburse office-administered drug claims was scattered across a variety of public and private sources. The CMS files, the FDA, state Medicaid files, and proprietary databases each held a piece of the puzzle, but there was no single, all-in-one source of truth.
With BuyandBill.com, we set out to change that. We source data in real time from CMS, the FDA, and directly from pharmaceutical manufacturers to build a complete database of office-administered drug pricing, coding, and reimbursement information. HCPCS coding information is downloaded directly from CMS, and WAC and AWP pricing are sourced directly from manufacturers when possible and verified against recognized pricing sources.
