PHOTREXA is a buffered solution containing riboflavin 5’-phosphate sodium. It is indicated for the treatment of progressive keratoconus and corneal ectasia that occurs after a refractive surgery. PHOTREXA (J2787) is often used in combination with the KXL System. The riboflavin 5’-phosphate sodium (Vitamin B2) in PHOTREXA works by generating oxygen singlets, allowing corneal collagen to crosslink.
