About Intravenous Infusion – 96368
CPT 96368 is an add-on code reported for concurrent infusion services, in which a second (or subsequent) substance or drug is infused simultaneously through the same IV access as another infusion already being reported. It is used only once per encounter regardless of the number of concurrent infusions and must be reported with a primary infusion code. This code specifically distinguishes concurrent administration from sequential or additional-hour infusions.
